VIII.      Open Public Hearing to receive comments on the request to rezone property located at 1023 Finley Drive from RM-85 Multi-family Residential to C-2 Central Commercial


SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND: A petition has been filed by Reverend Charles Grant, Clayton County Community Service Authority, Inc. to rezone a 0.918 acre tract of land, Clayton County Tax ID Number 13-49A B001 aka 1023 Finley Drive, Forest Park.


The parcel is currently zoned RM-85 Multi-Family Residential and is improved with a brick house and several accessory buildings. Reverend Grant desires to utilize this house structure for administration offices as an ancillary use to his current operation at 1000 Main Street, Forest Park. Reverend Grant has petitioned to change the current zoning RM-85 to C-2 Central Commercial to accommodate the proposed use.


The Planning and Zoning Board considered this petition on April 30th and unanimously recommended to approve the petition.

Forest Park authorizing the Mayor to sign and accept a Community Economic Adjustment Planning Assistance Grant for Calendar years 2008 and 2009 from the Department of Defense Office of Economic Adjustment for the purpose of preparing an Outreach and Comprehensive Reuse Plan for Fort Gillem and to appropriate the matching funds from the transfer/Capital Replacement Fund Line Item #100-22-1510-61-1001; to provide for severability; to repeal all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith; to provide an effective date; and for other purposes
