STREETS
DIVISION VISION
To maintain and provide a clean, safe environment along our streets and right-of-ways throughout the City. The top priorities of this division is to sponsor a continuing roll in the development of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, street lighting, and storm water infrastructure within the City limits.
Approximately 80% of our city streets will be resurfaced over the five year S.P.L.O.S.T. funding cycle through Clayton County.
Stormwater runoff is a major issue with the implementation of recent state and federal regulations to control stormwater runoff and to improve water quality. The City of Forest Park has joined forces with the other municipalities within Clayton County, Clayton County Transportation and Development and with the Clayton County Water Authority to implement a county-wide Stormwater Utility. Further information about the Stormwater Utility is available by contacting the Clayton County Water Authority at www.ccwa.us or by call Suzanne Brown at 770-960-6972.
