A called meeting of the Forest Park/Fort Gillem Local
Redevelopment Authority was held on Thursday, December 6, 2007, at the
Board Members: John Parker, Vice Chairman;
Sparkle Adams; Corine Deyton; David Halcome; Don Judson; Linda Lord.
Staff, Legal Counsel and
Others: Fred
Bryant, Executive Director; Joe Harris, City Attorney; Herb Wolverton,
Vice
Chairman Parker called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m. It was determined that
a quorum was present. The following matters were addressed:
Selection of Master
Developer Team:
The
Board discussed at length the strengths and possible weaknesses of the First
Industrial/NOVA Property Solutions/The Brookdale Group Team and the Cousins/LNR
Team. The Board commended each Team for a professional and informative written
and oral presentation, and considered that either team would be capable of
partnering with the LRA as the Master Developer. First Industrial Team was
noted for its strength in the following areas: financials, Army experience, and
environmental remediation. Cousins/LNR was noted for its strength in the
following areas: mixed-use development, local and community involvement and
representation, knowledge of the DRI process, financials and experience in
dealing with all potential stakeholders. The Board also noted that the LRA has
had a good, open and productive relationship with the Cousins/LNR Team through
Phase I and Phase II of the project.
After
discussions, Don Judson made a motion to select the Cousins/LNR Team as the
Master Developer for

A motion was made by Donald Judson to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Corine Deyton. The meeting was adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
