1.     Consider an Ordinance by the City Council for the City of

Forest Park, Georgia, to amend Title 11, Chapter 3, Article C of the Code of Ordinances of the City, entitled “Control of Dangerous Dogs” so as to expand and add to the definition of a “potentially dangerous dog”; to provide for severability; to repeal all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith; to provide an effective date; and for other purposes

Forest Park authorizing the Mayor execute an Agreement with the Department of Justice for an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant, 2007-DJ-BX-0129 Award Year 2007 in the amount of twenty four thousand, three hundred and eighty eight dollars ($24,388.00) to be added into the budget of the Police Department; to provide an effective date; and for other purposes

 

5.     Consider a Resolution giving authorization for the City

Manager to sign a final plat as approval of the Council of the City of Forest Park for the subdivision of a residential townhome development

 

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND:  Jim McNair, McNair Grading, Inc. the owner/developer of Kenai Townhomes development, located at 380 Main Street (former Puckett Estate) is seeking final plat approval of the fifty-six (56) lot/unit subdivision.  This approval is so the developer may record the document in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Clayton County, Georgia. Once the final plat has been recorded, the bank will allow the developer to secure a construction loan to build the fifty-six (56) condo-units. The Planning and Zoning Board held a hearing on this issue September 5, 2007 and unanimously voted to approve the final plat and signed the document.        

         

6.     Consider a Resolution by the City Council of the City of

Forest Park authorizing the Mayor to execute a License Agreement with Business & Technology Outreach Corporation D/B/A Team Sports League for the use of Forest Park Recreation Center Gym and Concession Stand for the dates of November 9, 10, 2007 to conduct a Basketball Tournament; to provide for severability; to provide an effective date; and for other purposes

 

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND:  Business and Technology Outreach Corporation     D/B/A Team Sports League has requested use of Forest Park Recreation Center Gym and Concession stand for November 9th and  10th ,  2007.  The License Agreement is a revocable License Agreement with specifications for the use of City of Forest Park facilities and vending concessions and includes liability insurance, general release, indemnification and hold harmless provisions.   

 

7.     Consider an Ordinance by the City Council of the City of

Forest Park to authorize funds not to exceed the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000.00) from the Ward 1 Project Account and funds not to exceed four thousand dollars ($4,000.00) from the Ward 2 Project Account for the General Expenses of the Good Neighbor Day Block Party; and for other purposes 

 

8.     Consider request to enter into a “Use of Facilities Contract”

with Clayton County Public Schools for the use of Hendrix Drive Elementary on Sunday, September 23rd for the Good Neighbor Day Block Party for Wards 1 and 2
