Consider
an Ordinance by the City of

the funding for the current fiscal year for the payment of EMS Personnel; and
for other purposes
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND: In recent years, the number of
actual EMS Paramedics has been less than budget. During the current fiscal year, the number of EMS Paramedics and
the Salaries associated with them has increased. Therefore, the budget amount
for the Salaries line item for the EMS Paramedics needs to be increased, to be
consistent with the actual amounts. This can be accomplished by transferring
budgeted Salaries in the amount of $50,000.00 from the Firefighters Department
to the EMS Department. The Firefighters Department has a sufficient amount
remaining in the budget to allow the transfer.
