SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND: At issue, is an ordinance to amend the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Forest Park, by adding a new Article “L” to be
entitled “Forest Park Main Street Overlay District” so as to prescribe new
district design guidelines. The subject ordinance, also amends the zoning map by creating and
establishing an overlay district. The

licensing of adult entertainment establishments in the City; to provide for

Council for the City of Forest Park, Georgia, to repeal certain portions of
Section 9-2-2- of the Code of Ordinances of the City pertaining to residency
requirements for obtaining a City License for the retail sale of liquor by the

sales; to provide for severability; to repeal all Ordinances and parts of
Ordinances in conflict herewith; to provide an effective date; and for other
purposes

Resolution by the Mayor and City Council of
Forest Park, Georgia to apply for HUD funding
through the Community Development Block Grant Program
(CDBG) for Curb and Gutter, Sidewalks, and Storm Water piping on various
streets in the Sidewalks to Schools, Phase I and Phase II projects, realignment
of Lake Drive and Main Street, replacement of the Recreation Building Roof and
replacement of Community Buildings 3 & 4 with one large facility and to
accept the HUD funding through the CDBG Program once it becomes available and
for other lawful purposes
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND: This resolution is requesting authorization
for the City of Forest Park to apply for HUD funding through the Community
Development Block Grant program to various projects and to accept the funding
once it becomes available.
