4.    Consider an Ordinance by the City of Forest Park, Georgia, to amend the Code of Ordinances of the City of Forest Park, Georgia, specifically Title 2, Chapter 1, Article F, Payment of Travel Expenses for Mayor and Council in its entirety, so as to clarify and specify reimbursable travel and accommodations expenses; to provide for a per diem; to provide for severability; to repeal all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith; to provide an effective date; and for other purposes

 

5.    Consider a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to sign a final plat as an approval of the City Council of Forest Park for subdivision of a commercial lot into two (2) lots

 

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND: Mr. Tran Toan Bao D/B/A Southlake Corner, LLC, owner of 3953 Jonesboro Road, Forest Park (the former Palmer Bell Auto Salvage site) has submitted a final plat for the subdivision of the 2.3579 acre tract into two tracts. (Clayton County Tax ID No. 13015A A001)

 

Tract A would contain 1.33 acres abutting Jonesboro Road. Mr. Bao proposed to develop this parcel with an automotive service facility.

 

Tract B would contain 1.04 acres abutting Jonesboro Road. Mr. Bao proposes to develop this parcel with a 6,000 sq. ft. retail outlet.

 

This tract of land lies within Land Lot 15 of the 13th District of Clayton County, Ga. The parcel is currently zoned C-1 General Commercial as defined in Title 8, Chapter 8, Section 8-8-56 of the City of Forest Park Zoning Ordinance.

 

The Forest Park Planning and Zoning Board considered and signed the final plat at issue during a called meeting on October 5, 2011.
