City of Forest Park, under the Constitution of the State of Georgia; Article 9, Section 5, paragraph V; and for other purposes

 

17. Consider an Ordinance by the City Council for the City of

Forest Park, Georgia, to readopt and extend the moratorium in the Downtown Core Redevelopment Area provided for in Ordinance Number 07-17; to provide for severability; to repeal all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith; to provide an effective date; and for other purposes

 

18. Consider an Ordinance by the City Council for the City of

Forest Park, Georgia to readopt and extend the moratorium on permits for new Hotels, Motels, Tourist Courts or Extended Stay Facilities provided for in Ordinance No. 07-19; to provide for severability; to repeal all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith; to provide an effective date; and for other purposes

 

19. Consider an Ordinance by the City Council for the City of

Forest Park, Georgia, to readopt and extend the Moratorium on permits for Certain Residential Construction provided for in Ordinance No. 07-18; to provide for severability; to repeal all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith; to provide an effective date; and for other purposes

Forest Park authorizing the Mayor to sign and accept a Community Economic Adjustment Planning Assistance Grant for Calendar Years 2008 and 2009 from the Department of Defense Office of Economic Adjustment for the purpose of preparing an Outreach and Comprehensive Reuse Plan for Fort Gillem and to appropriate the matching funds from the transfer/capital Replacement Fund Line Item #100-22-1510-61-1001; to provide for severability; to repeal all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith; to provide an effective date; and for other purposes

 

22. Consider a Resolution authorizing the Director of Public

Works to enter onto private property to clean a drainage

ditch between 5090 Springdale Road and 397 Webb Drive,

Forest Park, Georgia; to provide for severability; and for

other purposes

 

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND: This Resolution allows Public Works Crews to enter private property of 5090 Springdale Road and 397 Webb Drive to clean a drainage ditch that is causing flooding problems. Temporary easement agreements have been signed by both properties.

 

23. Consider an Ordinance to appropriate funds in an amount

not to exceed $26,000 from the Unappropriated Balance of the General Fund for the demolition of City owned property located at 775 Main Street to provide for severability; to repeal conflicting Ordinances; and for other purposes

 

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND: This Ordinance appropriates $26,000 from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund for the demolition of city owned property located at 775 Main Street. Three estimates were received with D. W. Tench Grading and Hauling being the lowest estimate to accomplish this task.

24. Line Item transfer request from Department of Finance

request transfer of $10,000 from Line Item 100-22-1510-54-2502 (Capital Outlay) to Line Item 100-22-1510-52-2202 (Computer Equipment Maintenance) for additional funds needed for computer equipment set up and repairs due to unexpected costs incurred.
